Islamabad, Nov 30: Peshawar Prohibits Buses and Vans on BRT Routes to Ease Traffic Flow. In an attempt to alleviate the city’s traffic problems, the Peshawar district government has prohibited buses and vans from using the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route. The Deputy Commissioner and other pertinent officials discussed the increasing traffic brought on by loaders and rickshaws during a meeting that resulted in this decision.
The committee voted to prohibit rickshaws from using important roads, such as Khyber Road, University Road (which runs from Tehkal to Islamia College), and Saddar Road (which runs from the State Bank to Balour Plaza), in addition to limiting buses and vans.
These steps are intended to improve traffic management and ease Peshawar’s congestion, which will provide easier vehicle traffic flow around the city.
