The federal minister of finance Muhammad Aurangzeb, was visited today at Finance Division by a team of the Pakistan Retail Business Council (PRBC), led by Ziad Bashir. Ali Pervez Malik, the state minister of finance and revenue, was also present during the meeting.
The PRBC delegation expressed gratitude for the government’s efforts to enhance the nation’s economic circumstances.they expressed their support for the Tajir Dost Scheme of FBR. They also told the minister of finance about the difficulties facing retail companies. They emphasized how the untaxed, undocumented retail sector has to be included in the tax net. They also gave recommendations to support legal business in the nation.
The federal minister said that McKinsey & Company has been engaged in to support the FBR’s end-to-end digitization, which would increase the size of the tax base. In order to ensure that this exercise is completed on time, he further informed the delegation that he has requested the minister of state to supervise this work on a daily basis.
Appreciating the PRBC delegation, Aurangzeb gave them the assurance that their recommendations will be properly considered by the government for the good of the nation and the business community.
