Islamabad, Dec 27: Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2025, supported by the National Organization of Tourism, PTDC, and provincial tourism authorities, is set to become the premier platform connecting global and regional stakeholders in the tourism industry. Focused on inbound, outbound, and domestic tourism, PTM is the only event of its kind in Pakistan.
The fourth edition of PTM will take place at the Karachi Expo Centre from January 31 to February 2, 2025, followed by a roadshow in Islamabad from February 4 to 5, 2025. The event emphasizes the importance of collaboration and aims to serve as a key driver in developing Pakistan’s tourism sector.
A special networking session was organized on December 26, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi, bringing together key players from the travel and tourism industry. The session served as a prelude to PTM 2025, strengthening partnerships and encouraging dialogue among national and international participants.
A major highlight of PTM 2025 is the introduction of the Tech Hall, a space dedicated to the intersection of technology and travel. In collaboration with industry partners such as the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), the Tech District will showcase innovative platforms, technology companies, and startups, offering solutions that enhance consumer experiences in the tourism sector.
Additionally, PTM 2025 will explore the emerging field of medical tourism. By partnering with leading hospitals, PTM aims to establish Pakistan as a hub for medical tourism, connecting health tourism services with travel companies and creating new growth opportunities.
The event will also feature the Learning Enclave, an interactive hub offering insights from global tourism leaders. Through talks, panel discussions, case studies, and live demonstrations, the Learning Enclave will provide valuable knowledge-sharing and foster engagement across the industry.
Another key initiative of PTM 2025 is the Sustainable Destinations Forum, which will focus on sustainability, cultural preservation, and natural conservation. Through panel discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, the forum will highlight global best practices in sustainable tourism, offering Pakistan the opportunity to adopt and implement these approaches.
The theme of PTM 2025, Bridging Cultures & Empowering Local Communities Through Travel, reflects its commitment to fostering collaboration and driving sustainable growth in tourism. A notable partnership for this year’s event is with the Saudi Tourism Authority, as Saudi Arabia has been announced as the Title Partner for PTM 2025.
