Islamabad, Dec 27: Authorities in Makkah have introduced free luggage storage services for Umrah pilgrims to provide added convenience during their pilgrimage. This initiative aims to ease the burden of carrying luggage while pilgrims perform their spiritual duties.

- East of the Grand Mosque, near the Makkah Library.
- West near Gate 64.
- Access Requirements:
- Pilgrims must present their permits via the Nusuk app.
- Storage Guidelines:
- Only bags weighing up to 7kg can be stored for up to four hours.
- Prohibited items such as loose goods, valuables, food, and medicine cannot be stored.
- Claim Process:
- A claim ticket is required to retrieve stored belongings.
Future Plans
The service will be expanded to cover more areas surrounding the Grand Mosque for further convenience.
